The Agustina Serviced Apartments (formerly St. Mark’s Home) was conceived as a place for people who need to recuperate and yet be next to the nearby hospitals -- St. Luke’s Medical Center and De Los Santos Medical Center. Agustina is just three blocks away from the side gate of St. Luke’s Medical Center along the Ignaciana Street. The Agustina Apartments provides a homey environment for people who need peace and quiet. The apartment has several clusters where a common kitchen is shared.   The standard rooms have a common toilet and hot shower facilities shared by two (2) units.  Deluxe rooms have en suite toilet/bathroom.

WHO MAY STAY AT AGUSTINA APARTMENTS

Agustina Apartments is similar to a Convalescent Home, where patients who need to recover from long-term illnesses or medical procedures can have a home-like environment.  Patients from out-of-town may prefer to stay at Agustina so that they can enjoy short-term physical therapy and monitored recovery close to the hospitals near by.  Those with chronic illnesses such as cancer or advanced diabetes at St. Luke’s or delos Santos Hospitals will find it convenient to stay at Agustina, to minimize transportation needs between treatments. Women who have just had a baby or a medical procedure will welcome a comfortable stay at Agustina at half the price of a hospital stay.  Children who have special needs until they can return to a normal life can also stay at the apartment, provided they do not disturb the other residents.

The residents should be independent and should not need physical restraints. No mental patients are allowed at Agustina.

Residents should not live in the apartment longer than 90 days. They should not experience moderate to severe pain.

Other residents who need to review for exams or short-term medical consultants can also stay at Agustina Apartments.

There are no medical staffs on site.  It is manned by a Building Manager, a cleaning lady, and a gardener/maintenance guy.

Food for the Patient/Resident shall be the responsibility of the Resident and his/her Caregiver. There are many food stalls close to Agustina who can supply food.  There is a kitchen where there is a oven toaster to warm food, a rice cooker, and a stove with LPG.
